Plugging Your Own Posts on BlogsMalaysia: What's Your Opinion?

13 Mar General

Alynna says:

I don’t know. Is it right to think what you have written is notable and to plug it in a site like Blogs Malaysia?

Is there really any difference to plugging your own post on BlogsMalaysia and going to any other blog in the blogosphere and leaving messages to visit your blog? Or, I daresay, pinging your blog on Petaling Street?

A question for BlogMalaysia.

It’s exactly like praising yourself.. self-praise is no praise. Or nominating yourself in an election! No such thing, right? The best way is let someone else praise, nominate of submit your post.

If not, it just shows what a conceited and tacky person the blogger is!

There’s no policy for that really. If someone nominates their own entry, we WILL plug it if it’s good.

What get on my nerves though is people who plug their own entries repeatedly even when it’s a total bore. It reminds me of rejects on American Idol who can’t accept the truth.

awawaw: Your comments sound familiar. ;) But anyway, that’s exactly what hit me first when I saw the same names for the writer and the person who plugged it: how arrogant!

Okay, I never expected more than 2 people to read that post, what more THE Kenny Sia and all the other big name bloggers. Sorry, this little girl is overwhelmed. :)

Kenny: Lol, it surprises me that you get people like that! That comparison to American Idol makes it sadder. But Lainie did say that it’s better to try. I mean, look at how many people that tried out for Season 1 till now! Enough about Idol, are there many of them that.. umm.. ‘try out’ here and fail repeatedly or is it just the same few perpetrators?

kennysia | 08:23pm, Mar 14:

The same few perpetrators. Sadly.
